Winterlude Festival — Jan 30 to Feb 16, 2026
No February in the capital is complete without embracing Winterlude, Ottawa-Gatineau’s iconic winter festival. Throughout the first half of the month, you’ll find towering ice sculptures, live performances, snowy playgrounds, and outdoor art installations at Crystal Garden in Confederation Park and the Snowflake Kingdom in Gatineau. This celebration of winter culture also includes skating, cultural showcases, and family-friendly fun across the region.
Canadian Ski Marathon — Early February
If winter sports are your thing, don’t miss the Canadian Ski Marathon, one of North America’s oldest and most storied cross-country skiing tours. This annual event takes place over several days each February along the scenic trails north of the Ottawa River between the Ottawa region and Quebec.
